Healthy Sweet Treats

AN innovative range of gelato’s and sorbet’s that will appeal to those wanting a sweet treat but are watching their weight, has been launched in New Zealand supermarkets. Boutique Auckland ice cream maker Ginelli’s, a 20 year specialist that up until now has not been seen in the mainstream, has introduced three gelato’s (Pistachio, Limoncello and Chocolate Rocher) and two fresh sorbet’s (Watermelon and Green Apple).

Like other such Italian-style products, the gelato’s are very low in fat while the sorbet’s are naturally totally dairy free. This sets the products aside from the normal range of ice creams and cold treats. The products can’t be missed in their great new one litre packaging that stands out in the crowded freezer.

More varieties are scheduled from this company that has won over 60 gold and silver medals in ice cream industry awards over recent years. Up until now, the company has restricted its sales to restaurants and a few specialist ice cream shops.
